Repair or Replacement?

Q: When do I need replacement? When do I need repair?
Indianhead Glass is the industry leader in providing high quality windshield repair and replacement services in one of our convenient locations or at your work/home. Windshield repair is a convenient, cost effective way to repair minor chips in your cars’ windshield. Any windshield damage should be fixed right away. When left untreated, windshield damage is likely to spread.

Minor damage can be repaired. Repair is possible when only the outer layer of the laminated safety glass is damaged. Below are typical rock chips that can be repaired if they are smaller than the size of a quarter and are not in the driver's direct line of sight. These types of repairs take 30 minutes or less to fix and may leave a small blemish where the glass was broken. Occasionally a chip will crack-out, or travel, during the repair process. This is not something that can be predicted before a repair is begun. Windshield repair is a fraction of the cost of replacement, and most insurance companies will waive your comprehensive deductible.

If the damage is more severe than these examples most likely your windshield will require replacement. At Indianhead Glass we use only the best quality replacement. Our technicians are extensively trained and certified to provide installations that meet or exceed Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and car maker's recommendations through the National Glass Association.

Convenience

Q: Will you work around my schedule?
There's no surprise that Indianhead Glass is the preferred auto glass repair and replacement company by insurance agents and insurance companies. Our Customer Service Representatives will make the scheduling process quick and easy. We can accommodate even the most demanding schedules with flexible drive in service to any of our convenient locations or our mobile service that brings us to your doorstep. Either way your repair or replacement will be of the highest quality and convenience.
Q: Do you accept most major insurances?
If you have comprehensive insurance with or without a deductible, all or a portion of the repair or replacement costs of the work performed may be covered. This means you only pay your applicable deductible and Indianhead Glass will direct bill your insurance company for any balance. If you do not have insurance to cover the required repairs, Indianhead Glass is competitively priced and accepts cash, checks and all major credit cards.
Q: Will you deal with my insurance company for me?
Our experienced team of Customer Service Representatives are specialists in Insurance company coverage verification and billing requirements. No matter what Insurance company or glass network handles your glass coverage, Indianhead Glass is approved to complete the repair or replacement. In most cases we are able to process your claim for you and will only get you involved if it is a requirement of your insurance company.
Q: How long can I expect this to take?
Most windshield repairs can be completed in less than 30 minutes. The average time for a windshield replacement is one to two hours depending on the vehicle and the required curing time for the urethane adhesive used to secure the glass into the vehicle. These time estimates apply to mobile or in shop work.

Auto Glass Pricing

Q: How do your prices compare with other shops in the area?
Indianhead Glass uses only the best quality materials and the industry's best technicians to complete your repairs. Indianhead Glass consistently shops our local competition and keeps our prices competitive with what other quality companies charge.
Q: Can I expect the price you quote over the phone to be the final price?
Because of our extensive experience we will always quote you a price that will cover all normally required parts, labor materials and applicable sales tax to complete your repairs. From time to time however there are special circumstances that may require additional charges. You will always be told about any additional charges up front and must approve those charges before any work will be completed.
